PHOENIX — A driver is in custody after leading a police chase on Interstate 10 through downtown Phoenix on Saturday, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The chase began when a DPS trooper tried to pull the driver over for a traffic violation near Washington Street in Phoenix, but the driver did not stop.
Troopers began to chase the driver and were able to stop them with the use of a grappler on the 19th Avenue off-ramp from westbound I-10.
Arizona Department of Transportation traffic cameras were able to capture the scene on the off-ramp after the driver had been stopped.
Troopers were able to take the driver into custody without any further incidents. The driver has not been identified.

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.
Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
