The FBI says 56-year-old Elizabeth Ainslie, who is believed to be the "Biddy Bandit," was taken into custody in Phoenix on Tuesday.
Ainslie is accused of robbing three Valley banks and attempting to rob two others between August 4, 2018 and December 18, 2018.
According to the FBI, Ainslie would approach the bank tellers and present a note. She would flee on foot and no one was ever physically harmed.
FBI says an anonymous tip led investigators to identifying the "Biddy Bandit."
She was taken into custody without incident, according to the FBI.
