PHOENIX — An investigation is underway in a north Phoenix neighborhood after an armed robbery escalated into deadly shooting, according to Phoenix police.
Police say the shooting happened around 4:20 p.m. on Monday near the intersection of 13th Street and Cinnabar Avenue.
At the scene, officers found a man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Police said 33-year-old Robert Roach was taken into custody after he was identified as the suspect who robbed the victim. Roach is facing multiple criminal charges.
