AVONDALE, Ariz. — One man is dead and another was rushed to a hospital after a double shooting in Avondale Friday.
Officers with the Avondale Police Department responded to reports of two men shot near MC85 and Central Avenue just after 4 p.m. When they arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. One was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition and the other, identified as Cristino Reyes of Avondale, was pronounced dead at the scene, officers said.

One person was arrested and the case remains active, officials said.
