Arizona DPS tweeted out the news that a trooper came across this injured bird south of Ash Fork.

As last week's storm moved across Arizona, DPS troopers were ready to lend a hand wherever they were needed.

But for one trooper, he was a part of a unique rescue operation.

Arizona DPS tweeted out the news that Trooper Doug Redig came across an injured eagle on SR 89 near of Ash Fork on Feb. 22.

According to the tweet, the bird may have been struck by a car and Trooper Redig took the bird to the Arizona Raptor Center in Flagstaff.

The current condition of the injured bird is not known at this time.
