Arizona has 8 of the best pizza spots in the nation, according to Yelp

Yelp's Top 100 Pizza Spots list gave a lot of love to State 48.

PHOENIX — Yelp celebrated National Pizza Day by releasing its list of Top 100 Pizza Spots across the nation, and Arizona got a whole lot of love.

We were one of the most-represented states on the list with a grand total of eight pizza parlors making the cut. Sedona, Flagstaff and Phoenix had the most (sorry Tucson) but Gilbert also got a shout-out.

The list was created based on several factors including the number and volume of five-star reviews by the "Yelp Elites" — the "most passionate and trusted reviewers and influencers," the company said.

Our highest-ranking pizza parlor at No. 19 was Hideaway House in Sedona. Yelpers said it's a cozy place to nestle up in the trees with a great view of Sedona's iconic red rocks and enjoy a delicious meal.

Next up at No. 23 was Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert. With a big focus on locally sourced ingredients, the comfy New American restaurant has nearly 2,000 five-star reviews.

No. 29 is Cibo in Phoenix. Located in a restored 1913 bungalow just a few blocks from Downtown, Cibo is a classy place with some impressive Italian food — and great pizza to match. They're so good that Yelp even used a pic of their pizza at the top of the list!

Fat Olives in Flagstaff took the No. 35 slot. They've got a wide variety of Napoletana-style pizza made from imported ingredients in an authentic wood-fired oven.

Further down the list, The Parlor in Phoenix ranked at No. 41. Beaver Street Brewery & Whistle Stop Cafe in Flagstaff was No. 60. Pisa Lisa in Sedona was No. 62 and Federal Pizza was at No. 63.
