How to protect your pets during the Phoenix summer

As the temperature rises in Phoenix, a veterinarian offers his advice to keep your pets safe during the warm summer months.

PHOENIX — The mercury is rising as we move closer to the summer months and now's the perfect time to bring back the reminder to protect your pets from the heat and excessive temperatures.

With high, triple-digit temperatures, outdoor activity during the midday hours can be very dangerous for our four-legged friends.

To help us prepare for this summer season, Dr. Brett Cordes from Arizona Animal Hospital spoke with the Today in AZ team to share tips on keeping your dogs safe during the warm summer months.
