PHOENIX - Police say they've arrested a man in connection to online threats made against South Pointe High School in Phoenix.
According to police, they were able to identify and arrest Christopher Michael Rodriguez Mendez, the man they say is behind the threatening posts.
Police paperwork shows Mendez posted on his Facebook that he was going to shoot up the school. A student at the school alerted police.
Officers found Mendez at his Phoenix home and he admitted to posting the threat, before taking it down. He said he made the threat because he had been assaulted by students at South Pointe.
Police recommended three threat-related charges against Mendez.
