PHOENIX — Easter Sunday is one of the important days of the year in the Christian community.
It’s typically a time for followers to gather for a special Mass, but that isn’t feasible as we continue to practice social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.
Churches across the world are encouraging followers to celebrate at home, and there are many online resources to make celebrating easier on April 12.
Here are some churches that will host services this Easter Sunday:
The Vatican
Pope Francis will deliver his Easter address and blessing from St. Peter’s Basilica, and it’ll be live-streamed on YouTube. The event happens at 1:55 a.m. in Arizona, but the full service will be archived and can be watched later.
North Phoenix Baptist Church
North Phoenix Baptist Church will stream 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services on its website and social media. It can also be viewed afterward.
CatholicTV
CatholicTV will televise and stream services from across the world throughout Sunday and has services in Spanish. Go to their website for a full listing.
Trinity Bible Church
Trinity Bible Church in Phoenix will have its Easter Sunday service streamed at 10:30 a.m. You can watch on the church’s website.
