PHOENIX — People across Arizona and around the country are staying home to help flatten the curve to stop the spread of COVID-19. Finding ways to keep family members entertained can be stressful, especially in households with young children.

People are finding unique and creative ways to connect with others. A Valley couple is offering entertainment and food without leaving their home.

Ed and Ginger Chabot live in Gilbert. Ed sings on Facebook Live on Tuesday evenings starting at 5:30. He said he calls it "Quarantine Tunes Tuesday" and he plans to do it every Tuesday until the stay-at-home order is over in Arizona.

Ginger solicited recipes from friends and family across the country and created a cookbook. The "Quarantine Cookbook" has 150 recipes in it.

"This was a fun project," said Ginger. "Being a retired computer programmer, I am very picky about things like formats, spacing and fonts, so it was very time-consuming. However, I have nothing but time right now and am trying anything to avoid cleaning out closets."

Ginger said she started with an idea and a Facebook post. She asked people to contribute and soon recipes started coming her way.

"I ended up with 150 recipes from 35 friends and family members in eight states," said Ginger.
