The Cactus League helped to integrate baseball

In honor of Black History Month and spring training, we take a look back a some important Cactus League history. Cleveland Indians owner Bill Veeck moved his team's spring training to Tucson in 1946, feeling that his newly integrated team would be more racially accepted in Arizona than in Florida. The move inspired other teams to also move to Arizona.
