It’s no secret that Phoenix gets pretty hot during the summer.
But did you know Phoenix has a heat season?
The National Weather Service recently tweeted some information on the weather event.
According to the NWS, Phoenix’s heat season usually stretches from early May to early October.
Normally, the Valley sees around 110 days of 100-degree temperatures, the tweet read. As of May 9, Phoenix has already had seven days with temperatures over 100 degrees.
This weekend, we should see a brief reprieve from the triple digits, but the 100-degree temps are sure to return.
