Trump attacking 'delusional' problem on border, Arizona congressman says

Democratic Congressman Ruben Gallego says President Donald Trump is putting troops on the Mexico border to attack a "delusional" problem he heard about on Fox News.

Democratic Congressman Ruben Gallego says President Donald Trump is putting troops on the Mexico border to attack a "delusional" problem he heard about on Fox News.

Fox has aired reports of an immigrant caravan of several hundred people headed from Honduras to the U.S. border.

The Phoenix Democrat also says on this weekend's "Sunday Square Off" that Nancy Pelosi, his party's leader in the House, faces a win-or-else midterm election, which should result in her ouster if Democrats don't win the House.

Gallego has been a frequent critic of Pelosi's leadership.

Also on this weekend's "Square Off," the panel of Arizona Republic columnist Laurie Roberts and Jon Gabriel, editor of the conservative blogging site Ricochet.com, discuss:

-Whether there's an urgent crisis on the border, as the White House contends, and how large a role immigration will play in Republican Gov. Doug Ducey's re-election campaign.

-What the Legislature's Republicans are thinking as they advance a bill expanding the use of school vouchers, ahead of a statewide vote in the fall that could kill last year's expansion of school vouchers.

-Whether Arizona teachers in the #RedForEd movement are overplaying their hand in demanding 20 percent raises and immediate negotiations with Gov. Doug Ducey.

"Sunday Square Off" airs at 8 a.m. Sundays on 12 News, after NBC's "Meet the Press."
