A self-proclaimed preacher was caught on camera being attacked while students near Apollo High School in Glendale confront him over his beliefs.

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A self-proclaimed preacher was caught on camera being attacked while students near Apollo High School in Glendale confront him over his beliefs.

In the video, shot last month, you see Dean Saxton -- known as Brother Dean -- talking to a parent who is upset about him engaging with the kids.

That's when a woman -- identified as 19-year-old Tabitha Brubaker -- walks up behind him and hits him in the head with what appears to be a bat.

Brubaker is a former student at Apollo, according to court documents.

Her bail was set at $10,000.

As for Saxton, he needed eight staples to close the gash on his head.

Saxton made headlines a couple of years ago when his "You Deserve Rape" message sparked controversy at the school.
