Meet Xarahi: A princess seeking a forever family

Like her favorite Disney princess, Belle of Beauty and The Beast, 6-year-old Xarahi loves books and is already reading.

Six-year-old Xarahi is much like the Disney princesses who fascinate her so: smart, strong-willed and hoping for a love that lasts forever.

But, it’s not the love of a prince that Xarahi dreams of. It’s the love of a forever family.

“I want a family that has a mom and dad, and two sisters and one brother,” says the first-grader.

Like her favorite Disney princess, Belle of Beauty and The Beast, Xarahi loves books and is already reading.

“Xarahi is very smart and does well academically,” says Crysta [cq] Hernandez, a youth advocate with Christian Family Care.

And she is obsessed with the Disney princesses, Hernandez says, adding that Xarahi dressed as Belle for Halloween.

So, a morning spent doing games and arts and crafts with Belle (actually Addison Bowman of Storybook Entertainment) was a dream come true for Xarahi.

Life isn’t all about princesses, though.

“I like to play games on my tablet. I like different games,” Xarahi says. “I like to play tag.”

Hernandez says Xarahi would best thrive in a two-parent household in which the partners have experience parenting and are “teachable, open and patient.”
