FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Flagstaff residents got some monsoon action when thunderstorms popped up across northern Arizona Wednesday, bringing hail and heavy rain.  

12 News Weather Watchers sent in photos and videos of hail coming down and whitening the yards and streets.  

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff said it received a report of half-inch hail piled up 2 inches deep near Flagstaff hospital, making for dangerous driving conditions. 

Scattered storms will continue in the area and should start to diminish around 7 p.m.
