An air quality alert has been extended and is in effect for Phoenix, Casa Grande and Tuscon through Wednesday evening for elevated ozone levels. Children and those with respiratory issues could see effects from the poor air quality.

Here's a few tips: Limit strenuous outdoor activity, carpool, and only use gas equipment in the evening hours.

High pressure will dominate the forecast this week with lots of sunshine and dry weather.

Temperatures will be above average all week long with no rain in the forecast.

Next week, we'll see a pattern shift. Temperatures will cool to more seasonal highs on Monday and below average on Tuesday.
