Rain chances looking better this week | FORECAST

We’re expecting an upper level disturbance from north Texas to deliver .5-1.0” of rain Thursday and Friday.

SAN ANTONIO — Partly cloudy and hot today, high 100° with a max heat index around 102°

High temps will be in the mid to upper 90’s tomorrow thru Monday.

There is a 60% chance of rain on Thursday, there could be some gusty winds and some heavy downpours.

Rain totals Thursday will range from 0.00” to 1.00” thru the weekend.

There is a 10% chance of showers Today, 30% Tonight and a 30-40% Friday and Saturday.

It is possible that San Antonio will reach the record of 59 100° days in a year in the next couple weeks.

Tropical activity should increase significantly late August and September.

Here are some tips for the summer provided by the National Weather Service:

  • Drink plenty of water. 
  • Take frequent breaks from the sun if you plan to be outside, and check up on relatives and neighbors. 
  • Limit strenuous activity to the early morning or evening hours. 
  • Don't leave young children or pets alone in cars.
