Warmest temps of the year yet just ahead

Arizona is staying above average.

PHOENIX — On Thursday, temps are on track to warm back above average. Get used to it because these overachieving temps will have staying power and will only get hotter!

Thursday’s sky will look different than the rest because of added high clouds but that won’t hold us back from aiming high on the thermometer.

Breezy winds with 20-30 mph gusts will whip up Friday afternoon. This will have the Valley feeling a bit like a blow dryer.

For the Valley, highs will keep landing in the 90s for at least the next week. The warming trend will hit its highest point early next week, on the cusp of the century mark on Monday.
Dry weather will continue to dominate the extended forecast statewide.

THURSDAY: 94/68 Partly cloudy & hot

FRIDAY: 96/67 Sunny, breezy, & hot

SATURDAY: 94/69 Sunny & hot

SUNDAY: 97/70 Sunny & hot

MONDAY: 98/70 Sunny & hot
