Weekend traffic report for Oct. 16 - Oct. 19

PHOENIX — Here’s a breakdown of the closures and restrictions you can expect to see around the Valley this weekend.

East Valley

  • Loop 202 eastbound (Red Mountain Freeway) is closed between the I-10/SR 51 "Mini-Stack" interchange and Loop 101 for pavement sealant application from Friday 11 p.m. until Saturday 7 p.m. All ramps to Loop 202 eastbound are closed between SR 51 and Loop 101. Consider alternate routes including I-10 eastbound near Sky Harbor Airport to US 60 eastbound and Loop 101 northbound.
  • Loop 202 westbound (Red Mountain Freeway) is closed between the Loop 101 interchange and the I-10/SR 51 "Mini-Stack interchange for pavement sealant application from Saturday 11 p.m. until Sunday 7 p.m. All ramps to Loop 202 westbound are closed between Loop 101 and SR 51. Consider alternate routes including Loop 101 southbound to US 60 westbound and I-10 westbound near Sky Harbor Airport.

Northeast Valley

  • Loop 101 westbound is closed between Pima Road/ Princess Drive and Scottsdale Road for widening project from Friday 10 p.m. until Monday 5 a.m. Loop 101 westbound traffic exiting to northbound Pima Road can detour on westbound Thompson Peak Parkway and southbound Scottsdale Road to reach Loop 101.
  • SR 51 northbound ramp to Loop 101 westbound is closed for widening project from Sunday 3 p.m. until Monday 5 a.m. SR 51 northbound ramp to Black Mountain Boulevard will be open. SR 51 northbound traffic can exit to westbound Union Hills Drive and use northbound Cave Creek Road or 7 Street to access Loop 101 westbound.

Southeast Valley

  • Loop 202 westbound is narrowed to one lane between Price and Kyrene roads in Chandler area for pavement improvements from Friday 8 p.m. until Sunday 8 a.m. Loop 101 southbound ramp to Loop 202 westbound is closed. Primary Loop 202 westbound ramp to Loop 101 northbound is closed (HOV ramp to Loop 101 NB open). Loop 202 westbound on- and off-ramps between Alma School and Kyrene roads are closed. Consider alternate routes including westbound Chandler Boulevard.
