Weekend traffic report for March 27 - March 30

Vanessa Ramirez has your weekend traffic detours and closures.

PHOENIX — Here’s a breakdown of the restrictions and closures you can expect to see around the Valley this weekend.

East Valley

  • Loop 101 northbound is closed between Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) and Elliot Road for resurfacing as part of a widening project from Friday 10 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m. Consider alternate routes including northbound Dobson Road or McClintock Drive. 
  • Loop 202 westbound (Santan Freeway) ramps to I-10 are closed for sign installation from Friday 10 p.m. until Saturday 2 p.m. Loop 202 westbound HOV lane ramp to I-10 westbound will remain open. 

North Valley

  • I-17 southbound closed at Happy Valley Road from Friday 10 p.m. to Saturday at 7 a.m.  
  • I-17 northbound closed at Happy Valley Road from Saturday 10 p.m. to Sunday at 7 a.m.  

West Valley 

  • I-10 westbound is closed between 43rd avenue and 67th avenue for lane striping from Friday 1 a.m. until Monday 5 a.m. and I-10 westbound on-ramps are closed at 35th and 43rd avenues during the same time.
  • I-10 westbound closed at Fairway Drive for bridge construction from Friday 11 p.m. until Saturday 5 p.m. I-10 westbound on-ramps at 107th Avenue and Avondale Blvd are closed too. Traffic will detour along the new off- and on-ramps at the Fairway Drive interchange. Consider alternate routes including westbound McDowell Road or Van Buren Street. 
  • I-10 eastbound closed at Fairway Drive, east of Dysart Road in Avondale for bridge construction on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. I-10 eastbound on-ramps at Litchfield and Dysart roads are also closed. Traffic will detour along the new off- and on-ramps at the Fairway Drive interchange. Alternate routes include eastbound Van Buren Street or McDowell Road. 

As always, please stay alert and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through work zones.
