PHOENIX — According to ADOT there are no major freeway closures or restrictions around the Valley this weekend. However, they did share a few safety tips that they think are important for drivers.
ADOT Safety Tips:
- No matter the destination, remember to bring a mask and follow guidelines during the current public health situation
- Avoid distractions, including texting while driving
- Never drive while impaired. Arrange for a designated driver or ride service if necessary
And a reminder about ongoing ramp closures in north Phoenix.
North Valley
- Loop 101 eastbound on-ramp at 19th Avenue and off-ramp at 7th Avenue are closed for approximately 60 days for widening project now through mid-February 2021. Consider entering Loop 101 eastbound via 27th or 7th avenues while the eastbound on-ramp at 19th Avenue is closed. Consider exiting Loop 101 eastbound at 7th Street and detouring via the westbound frontage road while the eastbound off-ramp at 7th Avenue is closed.
