PHOENIX — Thank you for visiting 12news.com for the weekend traffic report. According to ADOT here’s what you need to know for August 2 – August 5, 2019. Commuters will deal with closures and restrictions this weekend.

Let’s start off in West Phoenix. The I-10 eastbound is closed between 67th and 43rd Avenues from Friday 9 p.m. to Monday 4 a.m. for construction of the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange. I-10 eastbound on-ramps are also closed at 91st, 83rd, 79th and 75th Avenues. Please allow yourself extra travel time and use alternate routes like westbound Van Buren Street or McDowell Road.

Next, the Loop 101 Eastbound (Pima Freeway) is closed between 56th Street and SR 51 in North Phoenix from Friday 10 p.m. until Monday 5 a.m. for bridge work as part of the freeway widening project. Consider exiting ahead of closure and using alternate routes, including westbound Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd/Bell Road. Loop 101 westbound traffic exiting at 56th Street can detour to westbound Deer Valley Road and southbound Cave Creek Road to reach Loop 101.

Loop 101 southbound (Price Freeway) on- and off-ramps are closed at Ray and Elliot Roads and northbound on-ramp at Warner Road and northbound off-ramp at Elliot Road are also closed for the freeway widening project from Friday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m. Loop 101 right lanes are also closed in areas between the ramps.

Now, the I-10 eastbound off- and on-ramps at Verrado Way in Buckeye area are closed for pavement repairs. Alternate routes include I-10 eastbound ramps at Watson Road or Jackrabbit Trail from Friday 9 p.m. to Saturday 6 p.m. Consider using Yuma Road (south of I-10) or Indian School Road (north of I-10) as part of local detour routes while I-10 eastbound ramps at Verrado Way are closed.

Next up, 19th Avenue is closed in both directions at Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) for bridge construction as part of freeway widening project from Friday 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. Loop 101 frontage roads will remain open. Alternate routes include Seventh or 27th Avenues.

I-17 southbound closed overnight at Thomas Road for freeway maintenance. I-17 southbound on-ramp at Indian School Road is closed from Sunday 11 p.m. to Sunday at 5 a.m. Alternate routes include SR 51 southbound. I-17 southbound traffic will detour along off- and on-ramps at Thomas Road.

Now to Tempe, the US 60 westbound is narrowed to two lanes between McClintock Drive and Mill Avenue for City of Tempe pedestrian bridge maintenance from Saturday 5 p.m. to Sunday at 5 a.m. Please allow extra travel time and use caution in work zones.

Finally, the I-17 northbound is narrowed to one lane overnight between Pinnacle Peak and Happy Valley Roads for bridge work from Sunday 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m. Allow extra travel time. Alternate routes include exiting I-17 northbound at Rose Garden Lane/Deer Valley Road and using eastbound Deer Valley Road to northbound 19th Avenue and westbound Happy Valley Road.
