Here's your weekend traffic outlook for Sept. 27

Commuters will deal with a couple freeway closures and some restrictions this weekend.

PHOENIX — Thank you for visiting 12news.com for the weekend traffic report. According to ADOT, here’s what you need to know for Friday, Sept. 27 – Monday, Sept. 30. Commuters will deal with a couple freeway closures and some restrictions this weekend. 

Let’s start off in west Phoenix. The I-10 westbound is closed between 51st and 75th avenues for work on the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway interchange, Friday 10 p.m. to Sunday 7 a.m. In addition to that closure, the I-10 westbound on-ramps are closed at 27th, 35th, and 43rd avenues. Expect heavy traffic and delays. Alternate routes include exiting the I-10 eastbound ahead of closure and using Van Buren Street or McDowell Road.

Next, 32nd Street is closed in both directions at Loop 101 in north Phoenix for a widening project, Friday 10 p.m. till Monday 5 a.m. Alternate routes include Cave Creek Road and Tatum Blvd. Local access will be maintained. 

The Loop 101 southbound (Price Freeway) is narrowed to two lanes between Ray Road and Chandler Blvd for a widening project, Friday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m. Please allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down and use caution in the work zone. 

Then, I-10 is narrowed to one lane in both directions between Wild Horse Pass Blvd and Riggs Road south of Chandler for pavement sealing work Saturday 4:30 a.m. till noon. I-10 eastbound on- and off-ramps between Wild Horse Pass Blvd and Riggs Road, including both ramps at SR 347/Queen Creek Road, are closed. Both Loop 202 ramps to I-10 eastbound are also closed. Please expect heavy traffic and delays. 

Another restriction on the I-10, it is narrowed to one lane in both directions between Wild Horse Pass Blvd and Riggs Road for pavement sealing work on Sunday 4:30 a.m. till noon. I-10 westbound on- and off-ramps between Riggs Road and Wild Horse Pass Blvd, including both ramps at SR 347/Riggs Road are closed. Expect heavy traffic and delays. 

Finally, the Arizona Cardinals are taking on the Seattle Seahawks Sunday at State Farm Stadium with kickoff at 1:05 p.m. Expect heavy traffic in the west valley on the I-10 westbound and Loop 101 in west Phoenix.
