Thank you for visiting for the weekend traffic report. According to ADOT, here’s what you need to know for the weekend of November 16 - 19, 2018. Commuters will deal with a few closures and Cardinals game day traffic this weekend.

Major closure in the west valley this weekend. The I-10 eastbound is closed between 67th and 51st avenues to allow crews to shift traffic lanes for next phase of construction of Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway traffic interchange, Friday 9 p.m. till Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

In relation that closure, the I-10 eastbound on-ramps at 91st, 83rd, 79th and 75th avenues are also closed. I-10 eastbound traffic exiting at 67th Avenue can detour on I-10 access road or use McDowell Road or Van Buren Street. Expect heavy traffic and consider alternate routes, including Loop 101 northbound and eastbound in West Valley.

US 60 eastbound ramp to Loop 202 northbound (Red Mountain Freeway) is closed in east Mesa for resurfacing, Friday 9 p.m. to Sunday 11 p.m. Loop 202 northbound right lane is closed near US 60 interchange. Drivers can detour by using the US 60 eastbound ramp to Loop 202 southbound and exiting at Guadalupe Road before turning left to connect with Loop 202 northbound on-ramp.

US 60 (Grand Ave) closed intermittently between Loop 303 and 163rd Avenue in Surprise for overhead utility line crossings, Sunday 6 a.m. till 11 a.m. Plan on brief closures lasting up to 15 minutes. Please allow extra travel time.

The Arizona Cardinals take on the Oakland Raiders Sunday at State Farm Stadium in the west valley with kick-off at 2:05 p.m. Expect heavy traffic on the I-10 westbound and Loop 101. Allow extra travel time and use the surface streets or Loop 101 from the north valley to avoid delays.

NOTE: The I-10 eastbound closure is scheduled to be lifted ahead of Sunday’s Arizona Cardinals game in Glendale.

That’s it for this weekend. Thank you for visiting 12!
