Arizona Cardinals draft QB Josh Rosen with 10th overall pick in 1st round

Arizona has not drafted a quarterback in the first round since 2006.

The Arizona Cardinals drafted Quarterback Josh Rosen in the first-round draft pick.

The Cardinals got the 10th pick after trading with the Oakland Raiders. Arizona gave them the No. 15 pick, a third-round pick (No. 79) and a fifth-round pick (No. 152).

Arizona has not drafted a quarterback in the first round since Matt Leinart in 2006. Since that time, the earliest they have drafted one is in the fourth round.

Team president Michael Bidwill previously said he didn't feel "an enormous amount of pressure" to draft a quarterback in the first round this year.

“We know we need a quarterback of the future,” he told Dan Bickley and Vince Marotta on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. “We don’t feel an enormous amount of pressure, but we want to make the best decisions for the team."
