Where does the most underrated WR in NFL play? Arizona, NFL Network host says

When it comes to the best in the league, Arizona Cardinals' receiver Larry Fitzgerald is apparently not getting the respect he deserves.

When talking about the best wide receivers in the NFL right now, names like Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr., A.J. Green would probably roll off the tongue.

But, according to Good Morning Football host Nate Burleson, there's one big name that's too often left off that list: Larry Fitzgerald.

"When we talk about the best receivers in the game we don't mention Larry's name," Burleson said.

Burleson's answer was in response to cohost Kay Adams' question regarding the most underrated wide receiver in the NFL.

Burleson said he knows the future Hall of Famer is "appreciated," he's just not mentioned with the likes of those younger stars.

"We forget that Larry Fitzgerald has not only been doing it, but he's been doing it at a high level for a long time," he said.

Burleson went on to rattle off some of Larry's impressive stats, like how he's had over 100 catches in each of the last three seasons. Fitz even tied his career high with 109 catches last season.

"We're just casually watching him walk through the league and give us legendary stats," Burleson said, "and we don't bring up his name at all."

Host Kyle Brandt said Larry has been doing it all while having some, as he called them, "awful quarterbacks."

"Just crazy, injury-week replacements and guys who were gone," Brandt said. "He's not had that guy all year like some of these receivers do."

Burleson said he feels Fitz is underrated because "as he gets older, we're just like, we'll stop talking about him."

Adams agreed with her cohost.

"You're so right, though," she said. "We never list Larry among the best in the league."

Brandt said there was a certain attitude toward Fitz.

"There's a sentiment with Larry about like 'Well, he had his run as the guy, he had his run,'" Brandt said. "He's still on his run."

The Arizona Cardinals agreed too.

"People still don't bring up his name when they talk about top WRs right now. Thanks for making the people aware, Nate!!" the team posted on Facebook.

Both Adams and Burleson agree with a healthy Sam Bradford, Fitzgerald could have the best season of his a career.

Regardless, No. 11 is and always has been a legend in the eyes of the Red Sea.
