After the retirement of Carson Palmer, Cardinals fans everywhere have their thoughts on who should be the next quarterback in Arizona.

Even country singer, and Cardinals superfan, Blake Shelton.

The coach for NBC’s hit show “The Voice” took a moment from promoting the upcoming season to help recruit quarterback Kirk Cousins.

During an interview for the Super Bowl, Shelton offered his thoughts on why Cousins should sign in the Valley of the Sun.

“I want to say to Kirk Cousins, if he’s watching out there, we want you in Arizona,” Shelton said. “We want you to be the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals."

He even gave some compelling arguments for Cousins to join the Cardinals.

“I’m calling it right now, Shelton stated. "We’ll be in this game next year with Larry Fitzgerald, David Johnson, Patrick Peterson. Come on, Kirk Cousins. Do it! Also, watch ‘The Voice’!”

Free agency is still a few weeks away, so we’ll just have to wait and see where he goes.

But if Cousins does sign in Arizona, Shelton may have found another job if this whole singer competition thing doesn’t work out...
