PHOENIX- The NFL Draft begins Thursday. Men who have worked their whole lives to reach the NFL will see their dreams come true with a simple phone call.
The Arizona Cardinals own the 29th overall pick in the draft, and have given little insight into who they will be selecting.
Cardinals fans should rest easy though, since Steve Keim and Bruce Arians teamed up a few years ago, Arizona has done a fantastic job drafting quality players.
Over the last week, I got a chance to talk with some of the Cardinals about their draft day experiences. Here is what they remember from the day their name was called:
Flying out here, meeting the Bidwill family, getting a tour of the facility for the first time, I can still remember it vividly still to this day. It seems like time has really, really flown by, you know 12 years ago. Those experiences are something you never forget.
Truly a dream come true, for sure. A lot of emotions coming through my head, thinking about everything I've gone through, all the sacrifices I've made, finally paying off and being able to get that call. Just getting excited to get on a new team.
It's something you dream about since you were a little kid. It meant a lot to me, especially because this is the organization I wanted to be with. This is the organization I picked out before everything started. I love being here. I love the fans. I love the people.
