Guide to spring training stadiums: D-backs' and Rockies' Salt River Fields

The Arizona Diamondbacks' spring home has an expansive lawn and offers a unique visitor experience for local fans.

With 14 teams descending on the Valley for spring training, Arizona's own team can sometimes seem like an afterthought in March baseball.

But because the fanbase is already here, the Diamondbacks have some of the hottest tickets in town, and with a short flight from Denver, there are plenty of Rockies fans who come to Arizona to get out of the spring snow. Both fanbases will be watching home games at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.

How to get tickets

You can find tickets for both teams on Ticketmaster, and you can also purchase tickets on the Diamondbacks' and Rockies' websites.

Parking

There are 4,000 parking spots at Salt River Fields, available for $5. There's also RV and bus parking available on-site.

Nearby there are other non-stadium parking areas where you can leave your car, though some are tied to businesses that specify parking is only for customers.

Ballpark highlights

Salt River Fields features one of the Cactus League's most expansive food menus, featuring much more than traditional ballpark fare. From Island Noodles to Ike's Love and Sandwiches, there are plenty of options.

The stadium also has a full-outfield lawn, meaning hundreds of people can get cheap tickets, bring a blanket and soak up the sun.

Nearby restaurants and bars

Salt River Fields is near Talking Stick Resort for those looking for a little blackjack after a D-backs game. If you've got the whole day off, why not play a little Topgolf before heading to the baseball game?

For a more traditional dining experience, try Twisted Grove Parlor + Bar or Tavern Grille Scottsdale.
