PHOENIX — American Family Fields of Phoenix, formerly known as Maryvale Baseball Park, has been the spring training home of the Milwaukee Brewers since 1998.

The park recently underwent a $60 million overhaul, with a new clubhouse building, a new entry plaza, upgraded seats, new concessions and restrooms, a new agility field, a new major league practice field, refurbished suites and a new scoreboard. Here's everything you need to know about the stadium.

How to get tickets

To buy tickets for games at American Family Fields of Phoenix, head to the Brewers’ website or call 414-902-4000 or 1-800-933-7890. You can also buy tickets at the stadium box office.

Parking

There is a large parking lot south of the ballpark off 51st Avenue where you can park for $5. The nearby Walmart also sets aside some spaces in the eastern edge of its parking lot staffed by Brewers' personnel when there are a lot of people expected.

Ballpark highlights

Fans may be impressed with the changes to the ballpark. The new team store is three times bigger than the old one, the metal benches have been replaced with fixed seating and the widened first base concourse will allow for better crowd flow.

As for stadium fare, the taste of Milwaukee is well represented with Klement's bratwursts available throughout the park.

There's also a space inside the clubhouse called the Learning Lounge, where students can get free tutoring from Grand Canyon University students.

Nearby restaurants and bars

There are plenty of places to eat nearby at Indian School Road and 51st Avenue like Purple Turtle Sports Bar & Grill, the Golden Nugget and Choon Burrito.

There's also a Denny's, a Sizzler and a Peter Piper Pizza in that area.

If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, there's a McDonald's, a Subway, a Tokyo Express and a Panda Express all near Indian School Road and 51st Avenue.

Craving donuts? There's also a Rainbow Donuts nearby.
