The Arizona Diamondbacks had a thrilling walk-off victory Tuesday night against the Angels, and the team could hardly contain their excitement.
Just ask Fox Sports Arizona reporter Kate Longworth.
She was interviewing D-backs outfielder A.J. Pollock on the field when the pair were ambushed with a Gatorade shower from two of Pollock’s teammates.
In a GIF posted by the D-backs on Twitter, you can see a player come up behind Pollock and dump a cooler of the sports drink on him. Steven Souza then comes up and splashes another container of Gatorade directly in front of Longworth.
“Collateral damage?” The tweet asked.
Gatorade showers are no stranger to the baseball diamond, but from the stunned look on Longworth’s face, it was certainly an unexpected surprise.
