Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez keeps pushing to break stereotypes in his movies

And this isn't the last of Eugenio Derbez you will see.

If you grew up watching Mexican television or soap operas, then you must have heard or seen actor Eugenio Derbez.

For many years, Derbez was known for providing laughs and memories to families for generations upon generations in Mexican households.

The comedian and producer, made his transition into Hollywood not too long ago.

He made his debut in the movie "Instructions Not Included," which was a hit.

Since then, he has been in several roles and now, he is the star and co-producer of the upcoming comedy, "Overboard" with Anna Faris.

We spoke to Derbez, and he is very happy and pleased to be bringing more of a diverse movie to people.

The movie "Overboard" talks about a rich Hispanic man who hires a Caucasian woman to clean his boat.

Eugenio said he did this on purpose to break stereotypes because, usually, Hispanics in Hollywood roles are either the maid or house cleaner.

He is one of the few that come from Mexico and star in Hollywood movies. And, he's someone to really keep an eye on for all good reasons.

"Overboard" comes out in theaters May 4.
