TEMPE, Ariz. - Black stilettos will be turned into authentic art pieces to raise money for Arizona State University Los Diablos Scholars.

The theme: women who give life—the women who innovate, give life to art, businesses, books and other diverse contributions. The event coincides with Mexican Mother's Day and U.S. Mother's Day.

Luna Culture Lab and Torres Multicultural Communications will host the Chingona Soles Art Show and Auction from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday at Luna Culture Lab in Phoenix.

The stilettos will be designed by local artists with their special touch.

There will also be a runway fashion show, a black-and-white photography exhibit and a dynamic performance you cannot miss.

Our own 12 News Ozzy Mora was nominated by the Phoenix community as a "Chingona" for this event. It's a woman who innovates, empowers and gives life to various art forms in today's society.
