Day of the Dead is truly a celebration of life.
The Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is celebrated beginning Nov. 1 on All Saint's Day and Nov. 2 on All Soul's Day.
It is said that on Nov. 2 souls of the departed visit Earth to accompany their family.
It's a day of remembrance of loved ones who have passed away. Many celebrate this day in various ways including: Visiting the grave sites of their deceased loved ones and decorating it with their favorite foods or just decorations.
Some even create their own altar at home with various ofrendas (offerings) that their deceased loved ones enjoyed.
