We write about arrests every day, but it’s more unusual to write about someone accidently arresting themselves.
That’s exactly what happened to one Sacramento woman.
Police said 29-year-old Cara Greer was playing with a friend who was a former security guard friend. The two were playing with a pair of handcuffs when Greer got herself stuck in the cuffs.
Greer then called police, who arrived to find the woman still handcuffed.
After running a record check, police discovered Greer had an outstanding felony burglary warrant for her arrest out of El Dorado County.
Police then took Greer to a nearby fire station to remove the handcuffs, then promptly placed her in their own pair, placing her into custody.
Greer was then taken to Sacramento County Jail.
