Putin says Florida wasn't nuked in Russian weapons video. It was

That Russian weapons video showing Florida getting nuked? No way it was Florida, Putin said.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Russian President Vladimir Putin just insulted your geography skills.

A few months back, a Russian video promoting new weapons technology showed missiles raining down on the Sunshine State. The video depicted Florida, of course, with Lake Okeechobee in the lower right corner and Tampa Bay in the center.

Not no way, not no how it could possibly have been Florida, according to Putin.

"It -- that was not signed Florida. There was not a caption saying Florida. They could -- take a more careful look at it. There was never a caption, 'Florida,'" Putin told Fox News' Chris Wallace during an interview Monday.

Wallace replied: "No, but you can see it on the map."

"It was flying over the eastern coast of -- no, no, no, it couldn’t be seen on the map," Putin said. "Just take a closer look, and don’t try to scare your population with make-believe threats. And now -- I’m pretty sure I can give you as a present this footage."

Yes, it was Florida.

Video: Tampa probably not a Russian target

Reaction to President Donald Trump's summit with Putin has ranged from "bizarre" and "shameful" to skepticism.
