Following Arizona Rep. Trent Franks' immediate resignation Friday, Gov. Doug Ducey announced two dates Monday for a special election to fill Franks' seat.
Ducey set a special primary election for Tuesday, Feb. 27 and a special general election for Tuesday, April 24.
Franks, a now-former representative of the eighth congressional district in Arizona, served eight terms in Congress.
Franks abruptly resigned Friday amid accusations of sexual misconduct including reports of pressing a former aide repeatedly to carry his child.
