PHOENIX - Phoenix police responded to an "unknown trouble" call at a home near 36th Street and Sweetwater Avenue around 2 a.m. Monday.

Residents reported hearing an argument and possibly a shot fired.

However, the resident of the house in question would not open the door for officers once they arrived.

After more than an hour, police officials said officers made contact with the man inside.

He appeared to be impaired by alcohol and had an injury, which he told officers was the result of a dog bite.

No one else was inside the home.

The man was treated at the scene and released.
