Clouds were building through the afternoon and rain was falling south of the Phoenix area once again Thursday.

Scattered rain is possible across the state. It was the fifth day of storm activity to reach the Phoenix area.

6:13 p.m.

Strong storms developed near Florence, with the possibility of wind gusts, heavy rain and lightning.

5:16 p.m.

Minor flooding is possible in the northwest Valley, areas like Peoria, Surprise and Sun City.

4:49 p.m.

The National Weather Service said strong storms were passing through western portions of the Valley, including Glendale to Sun City West and Phoenix.
