A small plane made an emergency landing in Buckeye Monday afternoon.

Two people were injured after the two-seater plane crashed in a new housing development that is under construction.

A 50-year-old man is being airlifted to the hospital in serious condition, a Buckeye Fire Department spokesperson said.

A second person is also being taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Both people's injuries are non-life threatening.

The crash is in Buckeye, west of Surprise along Sun Valley Parkway.

It is unclear where they come from or where they were going.

The investigation will be turned over to the FAA and NTSB.
