Phoenix police arrest suspected porch pirates

PHOENIX — Two suspected porch pirates have been arrested after snatching someone else’s packages in November, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Police said a woman reported that she had multiple packages delivered to her home on Nov. 27 around 7:30 p.m., and one of the packages was stolen. She also told police one of the packages was opened.

Police said 25-year-old Frank Honeyestewa was arrested in connection with the case on Dec. 3. Ten days later, the second suspect, 30-year-old Sara Harlan was also arrested and booked into jail.

Silent Witness is partnering with Valley police agencies this year to ramp up efforts to catch porch pirates in a program that runs from Black Friday through Christmas Day. Residents can call in anonymous tips to Silent Witness and they will investigate. There could be a $100 reward if a tip leads to an arrest and prosecution.
