Pedestrian hit and killed in Phoenix

Police identified the woman killed as 42-year-old Brandy Heideman.

PHOENIX — Police are investigating after a woman was hit by a car near 32nd Street and Thomas Road Friday night. 

Firefighters said she died at the scene. The woman killed was identified Saturday as 42-year-old Brandy Heideman. 

Police did not give further details. It is unknown if the driver stayed on the scene. 

Thomas Road is closed between 32nd Street and 35th Street.
