PHOENIX — If you live, work or like to explore downtown Phoenix and you have a furry friend, you'll like this news.
On Monday, March 18, the ribbon will be cut on Paw-Pup Park, a brand new dog park in the heart of downtown Phoenix.
The City of Phoenix and the Downtown Phoenix Partnership collaborated with PetSmart Charities on this pop-up dog park located on Jefferson Street between 1st and 3rd avenues next to the City Council Chambers.
Paw-Pup Park will be open every day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to a news release. The dog park will be temporary but if people use it, the park could be a permanent addition to downtown.
Mayor Thelda Williams, Councilman Michael Nowakowski and Councilwoman Felicita Mendozahe will be among those cutting the ribbon at Paw-Pup Park Monday at 2 p.m.
Bring your pup! Complimentary dog treats will be available at the opening while supplies last.
