PHOENIX- An officer has minor injuries after a shooting involving a suspect near downtown Phoenix Monday evening.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the shooting happened near Central Avenue and Willetta Street.
The suspect is in custody and is being transported to a nearby hospital.
Police said traffic is restricted in the area and people should avoid the area for the time being.
