NBA MVP James Harden involved in Scottsdale nightclub incident, police say

A spokesperson for Scottsdale PD said it was "far too early" in the investigation to say what Harden's involvement was.

The Scottsdale Police Department said it's investigating an incident involving NBA star James Harden at a Scottsdale nightclub.

Police said the incident happened early in the morning Saturday, but did not disclose what the incident was.

A spokesperson for Scottsdale PD said Harden's name is listed in the incident, but it was "far too early" in the investigation to say what Harden's involvement was.

TMZ Sports published a video allegedly showing the incident.

A woman, who said she was partying at The Mint nightclub, told TMZ a member of Harden's entourage got into a fight. She started taking video of what was happening.

According to TMZ, the woman said Harden noticed she was videoing the incident and demanded she delete the video.

He grabbed her wrist and the phone before throwing it on a roof, TMZ reported.

The woman told TMZ she was given money by Harden and another member of his crew. She retrieved her phone once the fighting settled down.

According to TMZ, she was treated for a wrist injury at a hospital.

Harden played two years of college basketball for Arizona State. The nine-year NBA veteran was named MVP of the league for the 2017-18 season.
