Salt River recreation sites reopen after busy Memorial Day

Several recreation sites on the river were closed Monday due to being at full capacity as early as 9 a.m.

PHOENIX — The unofficial start of summer is here, and the Salt River is the place to be – apparently/ 

Several recreation sites on the river were closed Monday due to being at full capacity as early as 9 a.m.

All four sites have since reopened. 

Reopened: Pebble Beach Recreation Site

Reopened: Blue Point Recreation Site 

Reopened: Butcher Jones Recreation Site

Reopened: Water Users Recreation Site

There is currently no estimated reopening time for the closed sites. Stay with 12News as we continue to update this list throughout the day.
