PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. - A Maricopa man backed his truck into a Pinal County house Wednesday night, starting a fire that killed him and burned the truck, the home an RV and another truck.

The couple inside the house and their dogs were rescued in their backyard when a U.S. Border Patrol agent knocked down their fence with his truck, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.

The couple was not seriously injured.

“At this point in the investigation, it appears as though the truck backed into a corner of the house and got stuck," Pinal County sheriff Paul Babeu said in a release. "The truck engine raced, as the rear tires spun and disintegrated. The spinning tires appear to have ignited the fire, which quickly consumed the house, truck and RV.”

The driver has not been identified and the circumstances of the crash and fire are still under investigation.
