Man treated, dog dies at a house fire Downtown Phoenix

Other dogs inside the house made out safely.

A man was treated for smoke inhalation and a dog died at a house fire in Downtown Phoenix Sunday morning.

Phoenix Fire said the fire started in a bedroom of a home near 15th Avenue and Grant Street in Downtown Phoenix.

All residents escaped the fire, one person was treated for smoke inhalation but not taken to the hospital.

A dog died due to the fire and several other dogs made out safely, fire crews said.

No firefighters were injured and the fire is under investigation.
