PHOENIX — A man has died following a shooting Sunday night near downtown Phoenix, police say.
The Phoenix Police Department confirmed 37-year-old Hector Olivas' death Monday and said the suspect is outstanding.
The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. at near Garfield and Roosevelt streets Sunday.
The fire department initially transported Olivas to the hospital in extremely critical condition. He died at the hospital.
Police did not release any other information about the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
